On 1 January 2010, the management of GARTEUR was transferred from Germany to Sweden. Prof. Gunnar Hult (FMV -Swedish Defence Materiel Administration) became the Chairman of the Council, Mr. Björn Jonsson (FMV -Swedish Defence Materiel Administration) the Chairman of the Executive Committee and Mr. Anders Gustafsson is the new GARTEUR Secretary (2010-2011). According to the rotational scheme, the UK is in turn to hold the Vice-Chairmanship.
